Hi, I’m Serena—Founder, psychotherapist, and clinical supervisor at Oar Wellness. With over 15 years’ experience providing mental health services to adults, adolescents, groups, and survivors of trauma, I have dedicated my work to supporting people on their journeys towards healing, resilience, and personal growth.

The idea for Oar Wellness developed during a personal experience that caused profound ripple effects and continues to shape my work. I felt a strong pull to create a private practice rooted in past, present, and future wellness. This work honors where we have been, where we are, and where we are going.
The symbol of the oar holds both spiritual and therapeutic meaning for me and reflects the vision behind this practice. An oar represents individual agency and the dignity of effort, as well as the strength it takes to ask for support and all oneself to be held by both the boat and the water. This metaphor guides my work as a therapist, supporting clients in building agency, finding steadiness, and moving forward at a pace that feels safe and intentional.
My goal is to support you holistically in identifying the changes you want to create and learning how to harness them.

What I Offer
Holistic therapy for adults specializing in complex trauma, substance abuse, mood disorders, and relationship struggles.
This evidence-based trauma treatment is offered as part of regular therapy or in intensives.
I provide clinical supervision for new therapists working toward their LICSWs as well as professional consultation.
